Well, first of all , if you live in the Tampa Bay area, you should really expect to see mildew on your home. Mildew is airborne and blows with the wind from tree to tree. When your home is between trees, it acts as a filter and mildew will cling Generally only on sides that do not receive good sunlight during the course of the day, mildew loves shady areas.

There are additives you can add to your paint but honestly are not very effective. Airborne mildew is hard to prevent but is easier managed by simply chlorinating the affected areas and rinsing the surface afterwards.

The mixing formula is used if you have a serious build up of mildew. Do not dilute the chlorine and spray it directly onto the surface affected. Always do a sample area on surface

to make sure the bleach will not affect your substrate. If you have light mildew, reduce with water by 50%. Always remember to wear eye protection when using any chemicals.
